Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lafayette East by IHG

I give it 5 stars because the staff was absolutely incredible. The location was great. Breakfast bar had everything you could want to eat. Parking lot was well lit. Our room was large with lots of space. The beds were comfortable. I give the room cleanliness 3.5 the carpet could use a deep scrub and the sun blocking curtains need burned . The bathroom needs a bit updating.

Suspected hard water since soap was not washing off my hands in the bathroom sink, leaving a slimy wet residue I that wiped off with a towel. Then I went to breakfast, during which a pair of handymen with toolboxes were admitted into the kitchen. I overheard the discussion about .... HARD WATER problems !!!!.. So they were actually in the early stages of fixing that one thing upsetting about our stay. Just not early enough for me to have a more enjoyable stay.

Gary was fantastic. Our tv wouldn’t work and he was so helpful trying so many things with us. He eventually moved us to a room and I really appreciated it. I could notice Gary was frustrated. I knew it wasn’t at us, the guest, but the two tvs in our room were completely different! This makes it so hard for the employees, like Gary , to help trouble shoot the issues. I think if Gary wasn’t so accommodating, I probably would’ve rated the experience a 3. Hopefully someone sees this message and can help their employees with consistent TVs or just the rooms in general. The employees trying to remember over 60 different TVs or the inconsistencies is probably extremely hard. I hope this message gets back to Gary! He deserves praise for excellent service !

We had a suite with two bedrooms, even though we did not need that much room. It was clean and comfortable and large, and the little kitchenette area was cute. At the front desk, they had a selection of rubber ducks for a game at check-in. When you overturn a rubber duck, you receive the prize printed on the bottom (a free snack or a bottle of water or points toward a future stay). It was a cute concept. The person at the front desk was also very nice and professional. I have no complaints. After we dropped off our son at Purdue for orientation, we needed a place that was nearby, and we waited too long to book in town, so everything near campus was booked up. This place was certainly serviceable and clean and priced correctly. It was also close enough to campus that it did not feel like a long haul.

The desk clerk on Saturday March 16 was very helpful to two tired travelers. And the housekeeping ladies were very apologetic for the fact that someone on our floor broke the rules and smoked on our non-smoking floor. And the lady taking care of the breakfast area was busting it keeping the area stocked with fresh product. And it was nice having a fridge in our room for water etc. We were so impressed we got a rewards number and are staying at another Holiday Inn Express next month in Evansville. Hopefully with the same results.

My sister and I stayed here to be close to our father while he was in the hospital. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Robert at the front desk deserves special recognition for asking how our dad was when we checked out. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Rooms were sufficient for our needs. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

First time at this establishment. Had a pleasant checking process. Rooms were clean breakfast was great and many options to choose from. Would stay here again.

Garry at the front desk was super. So nice... We had a reservation but the pool was closed (heater was out) and our girls really wanted to swim. So we canceled when we came to check in.... Garry went above and beyond to help us. He gets 10 stars!!
